Together, we have already collected over 25,000 plastic products around the town of Elmina, raising awareness for sustainable recycling management. As a result, recycling in the region is increasing, helping to prevent further environmental pollution.

goReclaim

Both Dropz and GoReclaim aim to prevent plastic from ending up in the oceans. Together with the local collection point rePATRN, over 1 million bottles of so-called 'Ocean Bound' plastic have been collected on behalf of Dropz and integrated into the recycling process.

The Impact of Dropz

Albert, the BFWP Recycling Specialist, can collect significantly more plastic with the dropz Tricycle.
In Elmina, Ghana, approximately 12,000 PET bottles and 13,000 plastic bags were collected in 2023 with the dropz Tricycle.
Children exchange collected plastic for food. BFWP + dropz support over 200 individuals and households monthly.
The Buy Food with Plastic Team increases awareness about waste and recycling issues in and around Elmina, as many people are unaware of the problem.
Jeffrey is the founder of GoReclaim and aims to prevent plastic from ending up in the oceans.
GoReclaim collaborates with the local collection point rePATRN, which collects ocean-bound plastic on the Atlantic coast of Accra.
